Hsinju Chen is a writer of all genres and a space doctor-to-be. Having grown up in New Taipei City, their work features fragments of Taiwanese experiences. They now live in Illinois, way too far away from the ocean.

Long Bio (150 words)

Hsinju Chen is the author of contemporary romance A Milky Way Home (2023), contributor in Awakenings: A Cute Mutants Anthology (2022), and a 2024 Lambda Literary Emerging Voices Fellow. Having grown up in New Taipei City, they write prose with fragments of Taiwanese experiences and love languages in all shapes and forms. A NASA FINESST awardee, they are now pursuing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering, focusing on heavy ion transport in the magnetosphere. When they are not busy writing academic papers or dreaming up stories, they are reading queer literature and enjoying soup. They currently live in central Illinois, way too far away from the ocean, with their partner and an old screaming cat baby.
